WHAT DOES A VIDEO COST?
As frustrating as it is to hear, the stock answer is "It depends."
"But you just point a camera & hit record. How much more can there be to it?"
Well no. The price can vary wildly & whilst a client will usually only see the videographer turn up to film & then await the final video, there is so much more to consider.
Complexity is arguably the biggest factor. Complexity of the shoot, the edit & any additional gear required all have to be considered. Where is it located & what is access like? How many edits are required?
Time is probably the next biggest issue. Whilst the end product might only be 30 seconds in some cases, the work behind that short edit often may well be more than a 30 minute sit down interview.
Where the clients time is an issue or for bigger productions, we may need an extra pair of hands to help speed up the set up & tear down process, or to monitor additional cameras.
At Refresh I like to offer value for money video content. I feel video production is seen to be out of reach of many SME's so my prices can typically range from £500 upwards depending on the factors listed above. But once we understand the scope of the project & presented you with a quote, that price will not change unless the agreed scope does.
If the quote is out of your budget, then speak to us. We may be able to cut back on the production somewhere to hopefully fall into a workable arrangement for us both.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
When you come to me with an idea I will initially do some research if its a subject I'm not familiar with then arrange a call with you to discuss the idea further, why you want a video, your audience & how you plan to distribute it etc.

Then I will give you a few options in a proposal for you to think about and once we have decided on the agreed scope of work, deliverables & date(s), I will send over the T&C's along with an invoice for a deposit & then the real pre production can begin.

Usually we will need to meet again to discuss logistics or to answer any more questions before the shoot day. Once we have the content in the bag I will set out to get a first draft for you to view within two weeks (but usually quicker). You now have two rounds of revisions where you can request changes to the edit before agreeing on the final film.
I will then asked for the balance to be paid before delivery of the final film. If you need help or advice on how to get it in front of your audience then let me know. I can give you some ideas, or for an additional fee arrange for some trusted freelancers to manage paid advertising for you.

CAN WE SAVE MONEY BY PACKAGING CONTENT?
Yes. We can come to an agreement for regular work. Be that in the form of a retainer where we carry out an agreed scope of work per month or as a one stop package of work to instantly update your website and socials with a range of content.
Retainers are a great way to build a library of media to repurpose in the future, plus it gives you the client a regular stream of professional & consistent content. Message me for more details.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER?
You are free to use distribute your final film(s) as you see fit. I tend to keep the raw files saved incase you'd like to repurpose it in the future, but may delete them without notification. Should you wish to have a copy of the raw files it may incur an extra charge and an agreement of how it might be used going forward.
